For players 5-8 years old
U5-U8 Rec Player Pathway
Welcome to the Colorado Rush North Soccer Development Program for ages U5 to U8. Our youngest participants, ages 5 and 6, join our co-ed U5/U6 division, where beginners and slightly more experienced players learn and grow together. This structure supports young players as they are introduced to soccer, allowing them to experience both challenge and success, while older players in the group can refine their skills and gain confidence. Advancing to the U7 and U8 age groups, teams become gender-specific, providing tailored coaching that addresses the unique dynamics of boys’ and girls’ soccer. This segmentation enhances focus on skill development, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of the game, all underpinned by the Rush Core Value of Enjoyment and a commitment to fostering a love for the sport.

Teams participate in twice-weekly practices led by volunteer coaches, and play games on Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. More Details

WHAT TO EXPECT

TrainingList Item 1
Director organized trainings will be held on Mondays.

GamesList Item 2
Games will be 2 times a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. Teams will play 3v3 with no goal keeper.

CoachingList Item 3
Teams are coached by parent volunteers with the help of the Director of Coaching (DOC) who creates training plans for all the teams.

UniformList Item 4
All players will need to order a Capelli Developmental uniform kit. Ordering details will be provided closer to registration deadline.

Age Groups
U5 and U6 teams will be co-ed and may be combined age groups depending on the number of registrations per age group.
U7 and U8 teams will be gender specific and may be combined age groups depending on the number of registrations per age group
