U10 Player Pathway

U10 teams continue to play in the Colorado Front Range League. In this league, teams play against opponents from other Colorado clubs and divisions are created based on the play level of teams from Elite to Recreational. There will be one boys and one girls Academy Level team at U10. These teams will be formed during kickaround sessions each May for the coming year. Academy teams will be coached by paid and licensed CO Rush staff. Other teams in the age group will have volunteer head coaches. At U10, the club offers three unique pathways.   • U10 - Rush Intermediate

    $225/season

    • Two 75-90 minute training sessions each week with a volunteer head coach. Training days are between Monday and Thursday. 
    • Game Day Saturday’s - Play in the Colorado Front Range League. Play 4 home and 4 away matches against teams based out of other youth soccer clubs around the state.
    • Intermediate level teams are designed with the recreational player in mind and will play in a division suited to the overall ability of the team.

  • U10 - Rush Intermediate +

    $400/season

    • Two 75-90 minute training sessions each week, one with volunteer head coach, and one with paid staff coach. Training days are between Monday and Thursday. 
    • Game Day Saturday’s - Play in the Colorado Front Range League. Play 4 home and 4 away matches against teams based out of other youth soccer clubs around the state.
    • Enrollment and participation in School Of Excellence on Fridays during the season. 
    • Intermediate + level teams are designed for players who want to progress in the game and eventually play on competitive level teams once they are U11 age.


  • U10 - Rush Youth Academy

    $1600/Year

    • Three 75-90 minute training sessions each week with a paid and licensed Colorado Rush Coach.
    • Enrollment and participation in School Of Excellence on Fridays during the season (if desired). 
    • Game Day Saturday’s - Play in the Colorado Front Range League. Play 4 home and 4 away matches against teams based out of other youth soccer clubs around the state.
    • Participation in at least one fall and one spring Tournament.
    • Participation in Rush Friendlies each season.
    • Youth Academy Teams are formed during age group kick around events each May for the following fall. All age eligible players are welcome and encouraged to attend the kickaround. Rush Coaches will evaluate players and organize 1-2 teams per age group to participate in the Youth Academy.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • The Fall game season runs from mid September through mid November.
  • The Spring game season runs from the middle of March through the middle of May.
  • Teams will begin training 2-3  weeks prior to first game each season.
  • U9 age teams play a 7v7 format with a goalkeeper and with 9-10 players on each team.

TRAINING SESSIONS

Youth Academy Teams will practice at Clement Park. Intermediate Team training for teams in the Littleton area will be held at Lilley Gulch Park. For those who live in Lakewood, we will be forming teams to practice at Addenbrooke Park. Teams located in Roxborough will train at Roxborough Primary School (specific practice dates/times are based on the coach’s schedule and will be announced prior to the season starting).
**Lilley Gulch is the main field for the Recreational program. If roster numbers are too small to form a team in Lakewood/Roxborough, families will have the option to join a team that is based at Lilley Gulch in Littleton.


GAMES

Games will be played on Saturday's (and occasional Sunday's if needed). Home games will be played at Clement Park.
Away games will be at the field of the opponent and available when game schedules are released.


Registration for Fall 2025 will open by June 1.

VOLUNTEER ROLES

COACH

Every Intermediate team is required to provide a volunteer coach to coach the team for the season. This person is almost always a parent of a player on the team. The coach will be provided with a Rush Curriculum and a Coach’s Equipment Kit.

  • Communicate efficiently with the team.
  • Determine the team’s practice schedule.
  • Lead the team in training sessions and on game days
  • Responsible for finding a substitute if absent for any training sessions or games.
  • Attend pre-season meeting.
  • Pass State Issued Background Check


TEAM MANAGER

This role is very important to help our teams have a successful season! We ask that each team provide a team manager for the season to help with communication and organization.

  • Work with the coach to communicate with the team regarding the team’s schedule.
  • Setup game day snack rotation.
  • Setup pictures with the club photographer.
  • Setup the end-of-season party.
