Colorado Rush Welcomes Carlos Juarez as Girls ECNL Director

Colorado Rush Soccer Club is proud to announce the hiring of Carlos Juarez as our ECNL Girls Director.

Carlos brings an exceptional level of experience across the youth, collegiate, national team, and professional levels of the game. He currently serves as Head Coach within the ECNL Girls platform at Royals FC Arizona and is a U.S. Soccer Coaching Educator, instructing A License, Pro License, and grassroots courses in both English and Spanish. He also serves as Assistant Coach for the Puerto Rico Women’s National Team.

In his role as ECNL Girls Director, Carlos will oversee all aspects of the program, working closely with coaches, players, and families to continue raising standards and delivering a positive, challenging, and player-centered experience.

We are excited to welcome Carlos to the Rush community and look forward to the impact he will make within our club. Please join us in welcoming Carlos Juarez to Colorado Rush.

Colorado Rush To Include Pre-ECNL Competitions for 2026/27 Season

Colorado Rush is proud to announce that they have been accepted into the Pre-ECNL for the U11 and U12 boys and girls age groups beginning in the Fall 2026 Season. The Elite Clubs National League is the nation’s top youth soccer platform, featuring the country’s premier players, teams, and clubs.

This is an important step for the club and a reflection of the continued growth and quality of the players, coaches, and development pathway. The Pre-ECNL provides a highly competitive platform designed to prepare young athletes for future ECNL competition while maintaining a strong focus on player development.

With this acceptance, Colorado Rush U11 and U12 teams will have the opportunity to compete against top clubs in the region, train in a challenging environment, and continue building the technical and tactical foundation that defines the club.

We are excited for our players and families and grateful to the coaches and staff who continue to raise the standard of our program. This milestone reinforces Colorado Rush’s commitment to providing one of the top development environments in the region for both boys and girls.

Colorado Rush Welcomes Guillermo Rivarola as ECNL Boys Staff Coach.

We are excited to share that Guillermo Rivarola has joined Colorado Rush as an ECNL Boys Staff Coach.

Rivarola brings a distinguished professional playing career and extensive international coaching experience to Colorado Rush.

At Colorado Rush, Rivarola will contribute to the ECNL Boys program, supporting player development and helping strengthen the club’s competitive pathway. His international perspective and experience within some of the world’s most respected football academies will provide valuable mentorship for both players and coaches.

Colorado Rush Welcomes Blair Quinn as Director of Goalkeeping

We are excited to share that Blair Quinn has joined Colorado Rush as our new Director of Goalkeeping.

Blair brings more than 25 years of experience developing goalkeepers at the youth, collegiate, professional, and international levels. His background includes coaching roles at Texas Tech, Iowa, Arizona State, and Houston, as well as experience in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Throughout his career, he has helped develop goalkeepers who have gone on to compete at the highest levels of the college, national team and professional game.

In his role with Colorado Rush, Blair will lead the development of our goalkeeper program across all age groups. He will work closely with our coaching staff to provide a consistent training environment and deliver specialized goalkeeper training throughout the club. Additional details about our updated goalkeeper training structure and programming will be shared in the coming weeks. Blair’s first day with the club will be Monday, March 23, and we are excited for the impact he will have on our players and staff.

What is changing?

U.S. Soccer and major youth soccer organizations are shifting the age-group

cutoff back to a seasonal (school-year) model rather than the calendar year (birth-year) model starting with the 2026–27 soccer year (Aug. 1, 2026–Jul. 31, 2027).

Why is this change happening?

Better align teams with school grades and support long-term player development
Help players stay with friends and classmates
Improve overall player experience and long-term enjoyment of the game
Eliminate the “trapped” player between eighth and ninth grade

This is bigger than a signing. This is a homecoming.

Summit FC signs Lindsey Heaps

Denver Summit FC are thrilled to announce the signing of U.S. Women's National Team captain & Colorado native, Lindsey Heaps.

Lindsey returns home as one of the most accomplished midfielders of her generation, with an extensive list of career highlights, including:

Summit FC Announces Signing of Jordan Baggett

Denver Summit FC Signs NWSL Champion Colorado Product Jordan Baggett

Jordan Baggett, a former Colorado Rush player was announced today by Denver Summit FC. The Colorado product, NWSL Champion and the 2018 Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year joins Summit FC ahead of the club’s inaugural season in 2026. Baggett brings championship experience to Summit FC’s midfield and returns to her home state of Colorado to continue her professional career.

“I’m thrilled to join Denver Summit FC and return to my home state,” said Baggett. “This club’s vision, energy, and commitment to excellence really stood out to me. I’m excited to get on the field, help build a winning culture, and contribute to the team’s success from day one.”

Baggett, 29, played her collegiate career at Stanford University, where she was a 2017 NCAA College Cup champion, 2018 Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year, and MAC Hermann Trophy finalist. She was selected 3rd overall in the 2019 NWSL Draft by the Washington Spirit. Since turning professional, Baggett has played in the NWSL for the Washington Spirit (2019–2023) and Racing Louisville FC (2023–2024).

“Jordan is a versatile midfielder with experience at the highest levels of the NWSL,” said Curt Johnson, General Manager of Denver Summit FC. “Her professionalism, soccer intelligence, and competitive drive make her an ideal addition to our squad as we prepare for our first season. We’re thrilled to welcome another Colorado product to our team.”

During her time with Washington, Baggett made 42 appearances and scored five goals across all competitions. She was a member of the Spirit’s 2021 NWSL Championship-winning squad, appearing in three matches that season before an injury. After joining Racing Louisville in April 2023 via trade, Baggett made 16 appearances (7 starts) and tallied two goals and an assist, including the opener in a 2–0 victory over the Chicago Red Stars. She continued with Racing in 2024, making three appearances (1 start) across all competitions.

Internationally, Baggett has represented the United States at the U-20 and U-23 levels and received her first senior national team call-up in December 2019.

Baggett has signed a one-year contract for the 2026 season.
