Del Piccolo Invited to 2013 Adidas MLS Combine


12.15.12 - Paolo Pat LouisvilleUniversity of Louisville’s Paolo Del Piccolo, is one of 54 college standouts selected to participate in the 2013 Adidas MLS Combine January 11-15, in Ft Lauderdale, FL .Del Piccolo, a First Team All-Big East Selection this year, started 86 matches for the Cardinals during his four years at Louisville. In 2010, Delpiccolo helped guide Louisville to their first College Cup, where they lost to Akron in the Final. Paolo ranks as Louisville’s all-time assists leader (23).
Paolo clearly hopes to play soccer professionally, but is not sure where that will be. Shortly after the holidays, Paolo will head to Europe where he has a trial set  up with Eintracht Frankfurt. If all goes well, Del Piccolo will sign with the German side. If that doesn’t pan out, Paolo hopes to secure a few more trials in Europe before heading back to the US for possible trials with MLS clubs.

Rush Players Change MLS Clubs
After Friday’s Re-entry draft, three Rush players will have new MLS homes for the 2013 season. Conor Casey has parted ways with the Rapids and will be headed to Philadelphia. Colin Clark leaves Houston to join fellow Rush alum,Todd Dunivat and the MLS Champion, LA Galaxy. Stephen Keel will be going to FC Dallas after playing two years in New York.
