About The Program

The 2016/17 season will represent The Center's 15th year of existence and our third year at Rooney Road (click here for directions to Rooney Road). The program, dedicated to improving soccer players of Colorado, has undergone some exciting changes these past few years. This year will be no different as we continue to grow The Center training curriculum and add to the quality coaching staff. Once again we are excited to utilize the fantastic facilities of Rooney Road Sports Complex. This top of the line sport-turf field is fenced in which allows for a great training environment. Colorado Rush and North Denver Rush Directors of Coaching are responsible for the training and education of the players. Players from all schools as well as all clubs are welcome to be a part of this awesome program!

The Center houses participants from a wide range of schools and school districts, as well as home-schooled and online students. The majority are Colorado Rush players, but we also have players from Colorado United, Real Colorado, Colorado Rapids, Colorado Storm, Altitude FC, Real Colorado Edge and Colorado Ice. This truly is a program for any player in Colorado who has a real passion for the game and a sincere desire to become the best they can be.

The program is open to players from 9 years old - 17 years old (exceptions can made). We have elite level players in the program as well as players who aspire to be elite. Groups are broken up by playing ability and once formed. (The group formation may vary from day to day and season to season.) 99% of the work done at The Center is based around individual technique so it is up to the player to bring the right attitude and mentality each morning…if that is the case then improvement is guaranteed.

Players who participate in The Center are playing two to three times more than that of the normal student athlete. The training is prepared with that in mind. This is the most elite training program in Colorado and we have the graduates to prove it!

Center Testimonials

From player, Civana Kuhlmann (ECNL, US U17 National Team), "The Center has helped me become such a better soccer player, the individual technique and skills we work on have helped me improve and develop into the soccer player I want to be. What I have learned from the coaches at the Center has given me a competitive edge while playing the game."

From parent, Danel Kuhlmann, "I have been very impressed with the results of the Center program from the dedication of the staff, the individual attention my daughter receives, and the unique skills they work on with all players. I know this special daily attention these elite soccer players are receiving provides a boost to their playing ability and their confidence to try new techniques on the field."

Another quote from a Center Parent, "The Center program definitely requires a commitment not only from the player, but for parents too and from my experience, it is definitely worth the effort! To see your child get better every day is very gratifying. To see them try new moves on the field is very rewarding. Based on the amount of individual attention the coaches give to each player and helping them become the best they can be - these are the best soccer dollars spent.”

From Parents, Jean and Dave Wilson, “Our son (Ryan - U18 US Development Academy) has participated in The Center for the past two years.  The Center provides him an opportunity to "get up early and get going" to work on his favorite subject:  Soccer!   His dedication to the Center program is commendable and his skills continue to improve every day which shows on the field.  He continues to be a straight A student which supports that his absence from morning classes has not impacted his schoolwork, his strong desire to participate in the Center program is his motivation.  We'd like to thank all of those who make The Center a reality.”

From player Ryan Crowley (US Soccer Development Academy), “The Center has not only helped me with fundamental skills and every aspect of soccer, it has also helped me to try to always want to get better at every chance I get, whether playing soccer tennis or playing against the best teams in the country. Also, it is some of the best training from some of the best coaches anywhere.”

From player Joe Kerridge (US Soccer Development Academy Alumnus), “I was in the Center for over a year and really enjoyed it. I have to say I'm not a morning person, but the Center is the best way to get me going, to wake up and get to train is simply the greatest way to start the day. More than that, by going to the Center I have improved so much technically! With coaches having so much to train it's hard to have practices that solely focus on technique, that is why the Center is so important to our young players and even to our older players. I would encourage everyone to go because not only is it fun, but it helps you improve so much as well!”
